Our Christmas decor is up and it looks like I checked the box of less is more this year. What about you? Did you take the Griswold route when Christmas decorating this year? Or were you able to keep things pretty without overdoing? Here’s a peek into our house decorated for Christmas.

We’ve sprinkled the house with a couple of garlands that mixed faux greenery with real ones. I wanted the Christmas decor to blend with the decor of the house, but still feel special. So we kept a simple theme of greenery and avoided a mix of too many colors. I made a couple of arrangments for the coffee tables using juniper, pine, and ligustrum, while the windows got dressed with handmade wreaths.

I find that grouping objects together is always a subtle way to create a beautiful focal point. This year, we’ve paired a couple of candlesticks in different designs, shapes, and styles to dress the dining table. The five stockings hanging together above the couch is probably my favorite vignette.

We are ready for our Christmas traditions to start taking place. Gatherings, toasting, sipping, munching and a whole lot of hygge. Yes, this IS the best time of the year.
