Beach House 61 Project
This project started with a conversation at the beach. A question that popped up announced. "hey, we should get a house for all of us at the beach?", "wouldn't that be nice?" It sure would, I thought. Although it sounded casual, my brother-in-law wasn't being spontaneous. It was a deliberate invitation to build a vacation home that could last generations.
Fast forward one year later, and we managed to get our hands on a great property that offers many possibilities for our family. While the house needs lots of love, the location is divine. This spot is a few steps from the beach, a short walk to First Landing Park, and a brief bike ride to the boardwalk and restaurants.
This house is more than a renovation project. This project is about the people we get to share this home with. It’s about the people sitting next to you at the breakfast table. The weekend surfing memories. The late beach nights. The infinite sunrises and the sunsets. I know I will feel lighter every morning when I walk from the beach. And I know my heart will feel fuller as we create deeper connections with our families one weekend at a time.
