How to Style a Coffee Table
As we stay home and safe during our quarantine days, I thought I would do a how-to-video on how-to-style a coffee table. I believe there is no right or wrong when styling. However, there are a few secrets/tips that you should know. Here is how you can make this styling process a little easier and achieve better results.
GROUP YOUR ITEMS
Start this process by grouping your items. When styling my coffee table I like to organize my decorative pieces into groups of four or three, or even groups of two. Deciding on the number of groupings depends on the table’s shape and size that I am working on. For this particular round table, I created four groups. I divided the table into quarters to work with the placement of each group.
PLAY WITH SCALE
Another important aspect to consider when styling a coffee table is to bring elements that are different in size and height. A good variety of shapes and scales helps the eye flow through the entire composition. Here I brought in some tall pieces to play with height. And then to help balance it off, I added a wide greenery arrangement to open up the composition.
TAKE A STEP BACK
Once you are done with your table, take a step back, and then make any adjustments you may find necessary. Like I said before, there is no right or wrong style, but the more you play with it the better and refined it will get.
