It’s absolutely true that the renovation business is no joke. Oh, the many unforeseen problems that arise are always fun to deal with. From overwhelming emotions to bursts of happiness and many hopeful moments. There have been many mixed feelings and we’ve learned a lot during the renovation process that took place at flip magnolia.

But you know what was not overwhelming at all? The process of making our custom dining table. We wanted to feature a large dining table in flip magnolia’s dining room. The dining room is the largest room in the first floor. Therefore showcasing a long rectangle table was important to us so buyers could see the potential of this space. Long tables scream fun gatherings. And for this 1,300 square feet house, the idea that you can entertain friends and families is just what we wanted to convey.

So, we turned to a DIY project and created a table that seats six to eight people. All it took to come up with this custom design was four hairpin legs in matte black, plus a slab of acacia wood we snagged from a local store.

Once the table was ready, we paired it with six white sidera chairs that feature a classic modern design. The woven crosshatch pattern on the chairs bring a sleek look into this space. And I love how the tapered chair legs work with the hairpin legs from the table.

You can find the link for the hairpin legs here in case you decide to use them for a project. The hairpin legs come in many different sizes. I have also used them here before for a custom dog bowl we did last year.
