Although this space isn't particularly large for a primary bathroom, this new and renovated room is undeniably remarkable. Throughout the construction process, we stuck to the existing plumbing layout but successfully increased the footprint of the bathroom by transforming a nearby small closet into a more expansive and comfortable shower.

Keeping in line with the organic feel of the primary bedroom, I selected 4x4" unglazed zellige tiles that remind me of the sandy vibes of the nearby beach. For the shower walls, we went with 2.5x16" stacked tiles in a light gray shade, seamlessly blending with the floor for a timeless look. I complemented the tile selection with matte black finishes on plumbing fixtures, door hardware, mirror frame detail, and sconce. The consistent use of black metal throughout this home, from window frames to the smallest details, ties the entire house together.

My absolute favorite part of this space is the custom vanity that my husband and I crafted together. To replace the previous pedestal sink and maintain the plumbing on the same wall, I designed a slim custom vanity that not only fits within the space but also offers ample storage and countertop space. The wood texture detail on this vanity elevates the entire bathroom, and the wood tone brings warmth to this bathroom. The stone used for the countertop introduces another layer of texture to this space. And finally, a sleek vessel sink completes the look, making this vanity truly sculptural.

Matching countertop and curb pieces is a non-negotiable when designing a bathroom for that cohesive look. So, the curb and shower niche details get the same stone as the countertop. I love the color palette of this bathroom and the earthy feel you get here.
