The old bathroom setup at #project_goingheights welcomed you with dull brown walls and beige tiles that practically shouted "outdated." The original floor plan didn't help, making the space feel cramped with two awkward angled walls. Despite needing a total overhaul, the bathroom boasted amazing natural light and an impressively spacious layout, setting the stage for a promising transformation.

Redesigning the floor plan posed several challenges. Since we're dealing with a fancy high-rise apartment, the construction part was a bit tricky. The contractor insisted on preserving the existing plumbing locations. Although the plumbing remained largely unchanged, we kicked those funky angled walls to the curb and installed this massive, no-step shower.

Going for a modern touch, I went with stylish 12x24 gray ceramic tiles for the floors and 24x48 tiles for the walls. To steer clear of an overly stark contemporary vibe, I brought in a wooden double vanity, a paneled wall, and intricately designed ceramic sconces. Nickel finishes were chosen for plumbing fixtures and the mirror frame, ensuring a cohesive and contemporary appearance overall.

Thanks to a floor-to-ceiling window, the natural light here is unreal. Press a button and bam, remote control shades for instant bedroom privacy. Across the window, a substantial bench in boucle fabric serves both as seating and towel storage.

To add a touch of warmth, we brought in a sizable fiddle leaf fig tree, instantly contributing to a cozy and inviting ambiance. The carefully selected artwork perfectly complements the other pieces dispersed throughout the entire project, tying together the overall aesthetic with a harmonious blend of elements.
