Gallery Wall Ideas – Add a Wall Lamp
Perfecting that perfect gallery wall can be a daunting task. When I am creating a gallery wall, I like to place all my framed artwork on the floor and stare at them until they feel very uncomfortable. Once I am happy with the layout I have arranged on the floor, I will TRY to mimic the same layout on the wall. It sounds simple, but it can get complicated. I bring the level to the room and we meditate together for 5 minutes to bump up our patience level and then, we try to work together. It gets even trickier when we decide to add different elements to this gallery wall, like a wooden letter, a garland, or in this case, this gorgeous lamp I found on Etsy by MADDA Lamps.
This dipped wood wall lamp came all the way from Riga, Latvia. It was the only missing item I had when I did the full reveal in Bela’s room (you can tour her room here). I was so excited to showcase the room, that I decided to do the reveal even tough I was still waiting for one more piece. So, once the lamp arrived, the room was already looking so good, that I procrastinated about a month to hang it up. No, not really, I’m afraid I procrastinated about 4 months. But then, that Saturday morning I went to Target to buy snacks for Marcus’ basketball game, I saw this gorgeous LED vintage style lamp. I didn’t even know these things existed. Immediately, I completely forgot about the snacks and images of the lamp started popping into my mind and I knew, I just knew that I had to have that lightbulb. Is it strange to get excited over a light bulb? Who needs Gatorade anyway?
Once I had the light bulb and lamp, now I was ready to install it. That was probably the easiest part. The lamp comes with all the hardware that you need. In 15 minutes I was done. Super easy!
This little lamp was such a great addition to the room, don’t you think? You can actually customize the color of the socket as well as the color of the fabric cord when you place your order. I really like how the lamp worked with the other pieces on the wall. It has some of the white to blend with the frames, but a pop of color to make an appearance.
