Step into this bathroom from our #edgewater_modern_retreat project and you’re met with a space that balances bold materials and subtle textures in all the right ways. The design leans into sculptural forms, rich finishes, and warm details, creating a room that feels visually striking and yet, livable.

We started by wrapping the shower walls in dramatically veined marble. It’s statement-making yet timeless. This natural stone sets the tone, bringing movement and organic luxury into every corner. Complementing it underfoot are oversized floor tiles that carry that sense of scale across the room, creating a seamless flow from vanity to tub to shower.

Speaking of the tub, this freestanding beauty mimics the look of concrete and ties in perfectly with the beautiful custom concrete sinks and vanity counters. The sinks are paired with sleek, wall-mounted black faucets, which keep sight lines clean and elevate the utility into a design moment.

The new vaulted ceiling was a major structural upgrade, clad in the same warm wood slats as the bedroom, it draws the eye up and adds natural texture. Subtle LED strips tucked between the slats create a soft glow that carries into the evening. That ambient lighting continues behind the vanity mirror, layering the space with a calm, spa-like feel.

Oversized lighting above the tub adds drama and softness all at once, like sculptural jewelry in the space. For everyday ease, we included hidden cupboards flanking the sinks for extra storage without cluttering the aesthetic.

A final layer of texture comes in the form of limewash paint on the walls. Its organic finish plays beautifully off the marble and wood, rounding out a palette that’s as refined as it is natural. Every material, fixture, and finish was chosen to feel modern yet timeless, structured but serene. This is a bathroom that feels like a retreat, one that’s designed to be lived in, not just looked at.
