Step inside another favorite nook from our beloved #beachhouse61_project—a small bedroom with a big personality. With a compact footprint, every piece brought into this space had to earn its place. I’m a firm believer that small bedrooms don’t have to feel cramped or like an afterthought. They can be beautifully casual, with just the right amount of refinement.

We kicked things off with a light wood bed that immediately set a warm, unfussy tone. It’s grounded by a soft upholstered headboard that adds texture and a quiet elegance—nothing too formal, just a subtle nod to comfort done right. Floating nightstands help keep the floor visually open, showing that function and style don’t need to compete.

The rich brown bed cover acts as the perfect grounding note, bringing warmth and contrast to the lighter palette and adding that layered, lived-in look I always aim for. Above the bed, a large sconce plays with asymmetry—a clever way to keep the bed centered on the wall while working with the existing window placement. It’s one of those little design moves that makes the whole room feel more intentional.
