DIY Floating Frame

Framing artwork can be really expensive, especially large artwork. After I finished creating a couple of new artwork pieces for #casacancado, I went on a search for a framer that would not break the bank. But I soon learned that all estimates I would receive would be all high-priced.

After a little more digging online, I found an Etsy store called Get Large Print that really changed the game for me. This shop offers customizable floating frames in red and white oak. The ordering process and shipping were bliss. And assembling this frame kit myself saved me over $500.

Here are the 5 steps to assemble this frame kit:

1 – Glue the edges together
2 – Secure all corners with a clamp
3 – Place artwork in place adjusting position with shims
4 – Screw the back of the frame
5 – Install hanging hardware
