Introducing the Airstream project
Today I am revealing a new project that has so much potential. We all know how the housing market is in such a frenzy right now. So this year, we are taking a break from flipping houses and looking for projects elsewhere.
Guided by pure curiosity and an urge to get creative, we've decided to tackle the renovation of a 1969 Airstream.
Being our first ever Airstream renovation, we know we have a lot to learn. The goal is to experiment a lot during this project to learn all the details inside this iconic silver bullet. The renovation journey will be a long one. But I am very excited about the immense possibilities.
We found this old gem in Tennessee. And while that sleek and shiny exterior is so eye-catching, the interior was far less appealing. We need to remove all interiors and bring in fresh materials to give this Airstream a new life. We will be altering the layout to make space for a queen-size bed transforming this camper into a possibly tiny house.
Here are a few details of how we got our Airstream:
- After searching online, we found a 1969 Airstream for sale on e-bay that we thought would work with our renovation budget. I’ve never bought anything on e-bay before and was surprised how the entire process worked out without a hitch.
- We used Uship to bring the Airstream to us. This shipping service has transport companies compete for your business. You can pick your best quote and check reviews before committing to a driver.
- We stored it during the Summer months but now have started the renovations.
I will be sharing more about this project as we go. For more details, connect here.
