Styling is experimenting. And around #casacancado there is always a new experiment brewing in my laboratory. While I am always making changes and small design tweaks, my overall goal has not been for more. Lately, I am more interested in having less. And while I search for ways to celebrate the home using what I have, I am faced with one, two, or perhaps too many DIY projects.

My latest DIY project was revamping some old planters and giving them new life. The light gray colored planter blended in too well with the light gray colored house bricks. The composition was begging for some friction. So by playing with contrasting colors, I was able to achieve a look that added depth and interest.
