Family Room Design Reveal – Tour the Room
Working on this hangout spot last Summer was a lot of fun. This spacious but neglected room above the garage had so much design potential. With its high ceilings and big windows, it was aesthetically appealing but it definitely needed some love. A sad couch in the corner along with a small TV stand was just not working for this family. We started by addressing the floors and walls. The floors got redone in a beautiful natural color and the walls got a fresh coat of paint. We decided to paint a semi-focal wall in black to add contrast to the space and to make this big room feel cozier. We dressed the black walls with two large and colorful artworks from the kids and also added a supersized basketball game to make this a cool spot for the kids. Timeless furniture and a gorgeous rug complete the layout.
A room that had been neglected for years got a super makeover and is now the best hangout spot in the house. This was another project for #clientruds.
